According to David Brown, senior project manager leading the project team for Summit Design + Build, The Nerdery’s goal was to create a destination that inspired creativity, learning and connection for its both its employees and clients. The 24,000 square foot office build-out features three exterior walls that are comprised of mostly windows which allows for lots of natural light and offers great views of the city. Construction plans included a variety of places for the firm to gather and use both formally and informally. The “Town Square” which serves as a central hub integrates an open kitchen with a large meeting and dining area that has built in bleachers for larger gatherings. The space also has over 25 conference rooms, huddle rooms and other informal work areas. Minneapolis-based, Cuningham Group Architecture provided architectural services for the project.
