vanWaardenburg joins as firm continues fast paced growth
CHICAGO – Chicago general contractor, Summit Design + Build, LLC, recently welcomed industry veteran Andy vanWaardenburg as a project executive in their Chicago office. Andy joins Summit with over 30 years of experience in construction and development across Indiana and the greater Chicagoland area.
In his role, Andy will serve as an overall project leader, managing a team of project managers and engineers and remaining involved as a main client contact from preconstruction through project completion and close out. Andy’s proven ability to foster client relationships and a spirit of team collaboration are key to the success of his projects.
Prior to joining Summit, Andy worked for Henry Bros. Co. General Contractors/Construction Managers as senior vice president/general manager. Over the course of his career, Andy has overseen the growth and development of entire departments, expanding business across markets such as commercial, retail, tenant interiors and senior living. A significant amount of Andy’s experience is in the healthcare sector, having completed numerous projects for Alexian Brothers and Northwestern University School of Medicine as well as other major medical center renovations and additions.
Andy received his bachelor of science degree in construction engineering technology from Purdue University and is a LEED Green Associate with the United States Green Building Council.
