Summit Design + Build has recently completed an interior renovation of Taylor Farms Illinois Inc.’s existing 100,000 sq. ft. food packaging warehouse at 200 N. Artesian in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood.

Taylor Farms manufactures prepackaged salads and fresh-cut fruits and vegetables for the US foodservice and wholesale food industries.  Their passion for high-quality food has expanded to include a wide variety of fresh deli products including freshly prepared side dishes, entrées, sandwiches, snacks and appetizer trays.  The company is headquartered in Salinas, California and has eleven processing plants in the United States and one in Mexico.

The project included the removal and replacement of existing cooler panels and the relocation of existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.  All work was completed while the plant was fully operational.  Amstadter Architects provided architectural services for the project.
