Flexible, coworking office provider grows Chicago presence with expanded West Loop and River North locations
CHICAGO – Chicago general contractor, Summit Design + Build, LLC, recently completed build-outs at two locations for Level Office, a flexible office company that rents private offices, coworking desks and meeting space. Level Office selected Summit Design + Build to renovate and build-out additional space at two of their four Chicago locations.
Level Office River North is located at 420 W. Huron and was the first of the two projects to be completed. The, 4-story, 21,348 square foot space features private offices, office suites, coworking desks, reception, event space and conference rooms. This location features a unique space off the first floor where a loading dock was converted to open office and lounge space. In order to do this, Summit removed the existing overhead door, restored interior and exterior masonry, raised the knee wall and installed a new storefront and glass-paned overhead door that lets in an abundance of natural light. Summit’s scope of work also included building out an entire new floor plan for all four floors with custom glass storefront for private offices, upgraded MEP systems and a first floor custom community kitchen with bamboo and tile flooring and custom millwork.
The second project, Level Office West Loop, is located at 318 W. Adams. Here, Summit built-out amenity space and perimeter offices similar to the River North location. In addition to this, Summit added two conference rooms, five phone booths and upgraded MEP systems. The 7,200 square foot space on the 17th floor will now serve as the primary amenity floor for all Level tenants within the building, taking advantage of a new open floor plan.

Summit Design + Build has now completed nine coworking office build-outs in Chicago, including the two Level Office projects, and has been a construction leader in this market since 2013.
